AFN is proud to announce the launch of its Mental Health Professional Network, a dedicated affinity group designed for Jewish clinicians and practitioners in the mental health field. This initiative aims to create a supportive community where Jewish mental health professionals can connect, collaborate, and contribute to NATAL's crucial mission of supporting trauma survivors, while also addressing their own unique challenges and experiences.
The Jewish Mental Health Professionals Network will serve as a safe and nurturing space for clinicians to explore, learn, and gain insight into issues particularly relevant to their work and identities. This includes navigating the complexities of collective trauma, addressing rising antisemitism, and managing the emotional toll of supporting clients while potentially grappling with similar experiences themselves. Through peer support, members will have the opportunity to share experiences, discuss coping strategies, and develop resilience in the face of these challenges.
Building on the success of AFN's Real Estate Network, this new group will offer curated events, exclusive networking opportunities, and platforms for knowledge sharing tailored to the needs of Jewish mental health professionals. By fostering a sense of community and belonging, the network aims to combat professional isolation and provide a foundation of support for its members. This collaborative environment will not only nurture professional growth but also harness the collective expertise of its members to advance trauma-informed care, with a particular focus on the Jewish experience, and support NATAL's lifesaving work.
