Judith Yovel Recanati, Founder and Chairperson
Judith Yovel Recanati is a leading entrepreneur and a social activist who devotes her time, resources, and life to strengthening and empowering Israeli society. Together with her late husband, Dr. Israel (Rolly) Yovel, she founded a family philanthropic foundation, The Gandyr Foundation, which aspires to assist in strengthening and empowering Israeli society by supporting and cultivating civil society organizations.
In 1998, together with the late Dr. Yossi Hadar, Judith founded NATAL. Judith currently serves as the Chairperson of NATAL. In addition, Judith is actively involved in forming a new map of Israeli philanthropy. She is a member of the Israeli branch of the Jewish Funders Network and a board member at Sheatufim. Judith holds degrees in archeology and photography and studied art therapy at Lesley College and psychotherapy at Bar Ilan University.
